Liz is the eldest daughter of Stephen and Helen Robertson. She was homeschooled through high school graduation in Newport, NH. Liz and her 2 children moved to St. Johnsbury shortly after her parents did and she joined the Sayles Funeral Home division of Caledonia Life Services, Inc. team in January of 2017. When it was time for Caledonia Life Services, Inc. to expand in July 2019, Liz embraced the challenge. She now enjoys serving families through Guest Memorials. Liz is also taking classes at CCV to get a business degree and a funeral director certificate.

Helen Robertson

Helen Robertson

Owner/Funeral Apprentice

Helen lived in Colebrook, NH from birth until she graduated high school. She received a B.S. from Boston University where she met Steve. Helen stayed at home and homeschooled her and Steve's 8 children before moving to St. Johnsbury and enrolling the 4 youngest in school so she could assist in the management of the businesses. The couple's adult children joke that Steve bought the funeral homes as a 25th anniversary gift to Helen. She is currently apprenticing under Steve to become a licensed funeral director.

Helen greatly enjoys working with the staff at Guibord-Pearsons & Sayles and is proud to be serving the Caledonia County area.

Stephen Robertson is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in both Vermont and New Hampshire. A native of Tennessee, Steve chose funeral service as his vocation, graduating from F.I.N.E. in 2002. He had been employed at Newton Bartlett Funeral Home in Newport until joining Sayles Funeral Home/Guibord Funeral Home in June 2015. He married Helen Lynch of Colebrook in 1990. In summer of 2016 the Robertsons established Caledonia Life Services, Inc., purchased Guibord & Sayles Funeral Homes, and moved into the living quarters above the Sayles Funeral Home with the youngest four of their eight children. In 2017 they purchased the Pearsons Funeral Home name, creating Guibord-Pearsons Funeral Home in Lyndonville. The most recent addition to CLS Inc. is Guest Memorials with offices now housed inside Sayles Funeral Home in St. Johnsbury.
